POPS

POPS are Parents on Patrol.  Parents are asked to volunteer on anywhere from eight to ten days out of the school year to help out wherever needed during the school day.  Their time is spent in helping out at drop-off and dismissal, monitoring the lunch period, filing and copying, ringing the bells between classes, grading homework papers, taking young ones on bathroom breaks, and generally filling in wherever needed.  The popping job is vital to the success of our program, as they keep everything running smoothly throughout the day for the students, as well as for the tutors and administration.

It’s a fun job and parents get to see their kids during the Academy day!
